I had the privelege of meeting Debby and Kirtus, who are (or were when we shot the session, the kiddos are born now!) expecting twins! I had such an awesome time with the two of you, and enjoyed driving around Central Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale. Debby, you really are positively glowing! Congratulations to the two of you, and I can't wait to meet Jake and Lilly!
Here's the scoop. The holidays are rapidly approaching, and I've had people ask if I can do shorter sessions and include a digital file, for some fun holiday portraits, and Christmas card images. Absolutely! I've already filled several days with these mini sessions, but decided to open up a few afternoons specifically for this since the response has been so great...
Somehow we managed to schedule this session on the last scorching hot day of the year...go figure! You held up great in spite of the relentless sun Sekoia! Can't wait for part 2...
This wedding was fantastic. Beautiful, outgoing people, a stunning ceremony site, and a bride with impeccable vintage style! Heather and Jake, I was bummed the day after your wedding because you two have been so much fun to work with! Congratulations, and thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day! Thanks to Jason Aten of Grand Ledge for second shooting with me!
Here's a preview before your gallery goes up this week Heather and Jake....
The blog will be under contruction, as well as the website over the course of the next few weeks. When it's all finished, I'll have a shiny new blog, and a separate website for both weddings and seniors...yay!
This session (featuring one of my many offspring), was a very fun way to spend a comfortably warm Arizona August evening. I have made a point to regularly photograph each of my kids, in their very own full length session, at least once a year. And with the amount of kids that I actually have, this keeps me busy for half the year! So, it was Javen's turn. We were going to start out at Westgate, the sporty modern vibe kind of fits the most coordinated and athletic of my kids, but alas, there was a massive concert, and the place was packed, so off we went. Our first stop was a sunny parking lot behind a restaurant in historic downtown Glendale. Then we moved on to Sahuaro Ranch Park, and all in all, I'm terribly pleased that we bypassed Westgate for something simpler. The laid back vibe of the Ranch was much more suited to Javen and his easy, wide grins, and where else can you be photographed while chasing kittens, chickens, and peacocks?!?!
Max jumped in for a few snaps with his brother and best bud, and after we finished, the boys found a little rabbit hiding under a grapefruit tree. The two boys, holding hands, and silently tip-toeing over to the bunny, with exaggerated "quiet" steps and sneaky arms was possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. I of course snapped one last images while they crept up on their furry friend...

this photo is SO VERY true to who they are!
I love the fact that the sun is always around here in Arizona!
